Northants take on the Cambridge Royals at home for the first time this season.

The two teams have been neck and neck all season. Northants edged to the top of the table last week after two wins against Norwich, but only because the Royals had an of f week.

Whichever team takes the wins this weekend, edges closer to league victory, making it harder for the other team to end the league on top.

With Northant playing only 3 more games this season (2 against the royals and 1 against Norwich) and the Royals still having 4 games left, (2 against Northants, 1 against Norwich and 1 against harwich), Northants have a bigger hill to climb to take the league top spot by the end of the season.

Its going to be a tough game for the home team this weekend.

Should the league end on a tie, the tie breaker is decided by runs conceded. Northnats have currently conceded more runs against the Royals than the Royals have against Northnats.
