Northants were away this weekend facing Cambridge Royals, their rivals at the top of the table.
The two teams went into this weekend neck and neck having not played each other so far this season after a previous games was rained off earlier in the year.
Northants got off to a slow start with Simon Shaw the starting pitcher for Northants eventually losing to the Royals 9-4
After a reset for game two, and this time, Jack Betts on the mound, it was a close game with both teams tied for most of the game at 3-3 . Northants took a 1 run lead in the 4th inning and ended the game winning by a final score of 4-3
