In an exciting development for the young baseball enthusiasts at St. Patrick's Catholic Primary School in Corby, the Youth Coach from Northants Baseball Club made a special visit to run a training session for their after-school baseball club. This visit marked the culmination of the MLB First Pitch Programme, an initiative aimed at introducing children to the fundamentals of baseball and fostering their passion for the sport.

The training session kicked off with a lively warm-up session, getting the children energised and ready for the activities ahead. The coach then led the group through a series of engaging games and drills, designed to enhance their skills and knowledge of the game.

One of the highlights of the session was introducing the children to pitching. Once they were given a demonstration around technique, they were eager to try this out for themselves. With some guidance, they practiced their skills, focussing of accuracy and control.

As the session drew to a close, each child had the opportunity to showcase their best pitch the the coach. With enthusiasm and determination, the young pitchers stepped up to the plate and delivered their pitches, receiving feedback and encouragement from the coach.
