Northants Baseball Club are delighted to announce that they have secured a year rolling booking with Wootton park school for it to become their annual winter training venue.

In previous years, Northants have struggled to find a permanent home for their indoor winter training so by not only confirming Wootton Park School as this years winter training venue, but also securing this venue annually going forward, it gives the club the consistency they need throughout the winter which supports their aim of club growth.

Wootton Park has a modern sports hall and is based in a central Northampton location which the club is hoping will be attractive not only for its current members but for prospective new players too.

The club is still recruiting heavily for new members and had its greatest offseason success (in terms of bringing in new players) 2 years ago, the last time winter training was hosted at Wootton Park so the club is hoping for a similar return.

Northants has had a successful year not only from a competitive standpoint, fulfilling their goal of winning the league, but also in club growth and recruitment, with 17 new club members joining year to date across adult and youth, meaning a 56% increase in members from last year. - Northants hopes to continue its recruitment throughout the winter, ready for next year where the club hopes to field a second team and focus on growing an under 12's Youth Team for competitive baseball
